hello, these are my two little lovebirds paula (white) and bartok (b+w). little paula we got from friends whose cat had a litter of kittens, and bartok we rescued from some one who just dumped him at an animal store. they are both about 9 months old . i grew up with cats but i am a first time cat owner by myself so, lots of suggestions would be super awesome!!

Welcome! Paula and Bartok are really pretty and I love your photos of them. This is a great site with lots of experts who can answer your every question. There are also many good articles that should help you - I would link to some but I am on my phone. Two things I learned on this site that have really helped me are:

1. Get the Da Bird toy - most cats love this toy and playing with them is s great way to bond with them, give them exercise and keep them stimulated.

2. Wet food is generally preferred over dry food because of potential urinary tract problems but the best food is the one your cat will eat.

Good for you rescuing Bartok from the pet store. Poor baby being abandoned like that. He and Paula certainly look happy and healthy now!
