I am planning on traveling with my cat during the holidays since I will be with family for about a week and a half. I just called the airlines to reserve the carry-on space.
However, in terms of doing research I know there is a risk with snub-nosed animals and transportation via plane. She'll be in the cabin with me, and she actually has a face similar to a doll-face Persian (so it isn't as squished, picture below). I also have the Sherpa deluxe carrier which is very well ventilated. However, reading about different instances (e.g. a pug that died while under the seat in the cabin) does concern me. Are there any tips for travel, or folks with experience traveling with a snub-nose animal? Otherwise, she travels fine and doesn't get at all stressed or anxious. But I would hate to put her in a position in which she could seriously get hurt.
Thanks!
