Now you have to understand my husband and I have never constructed anything ourselfs. Well, he got a circular saw for Christmas so we just had to build something. We decided to try our own cat tree. We got the plans from ebay and this is how it came out. Building it was a piece of cake but carpeting it was very difficult. We are very proud of our final product!! As you can see Solaman is also pleased. He has now taken up birdwatching as his new hobby.

Love how you color coordinated the cat condo to not clash with your pet's fur
Nice job!

Thanks for the warm welcome back. Solaman just lucked out with the color of the tree as the carpet we picked was one of the more affordable ones at home depot.
As it happens it also matches our living room furniture, I guess that's one advantage of making it ourselves.

That is one fantastic cat tree! You and your hubby did a great job, and Solaman looks very comfortable at his new post.

Looks Great.
Do you mind if I ask did you use glue or nails?

I have been wanting to try to build one for a bit but I am nervous about getting the carpeting on.

Yeah, I wondered that too. It sure does look like one you would
go and spend a small fortune for!!!
Please post the answer to Michelle's question, so we can try
that also!--persia

I was wondering that as well, I am just to scared about adding the carpet because I don't want it to come off, and I also don't want their claws stuck on the staples.....I am so confused with this, can't wait for your answer!!!

By the way, my cats would fall in love with that cat tree, especially since it is sitting in front of a window!!
