I will start out by informing the reader that my Cat visited the vet's office on 11/25/15 (5 days ago) for a rabies vaccination & Wellness checkup. She weighed 8.8 lbs and was judged to be healthy.

My 3 year old female spayed cat "Sweet-pea" has started sneezing within the last 24-36 hours.  Sweet-pea will sneeze 3,4 or 5X in a row on average maybe 1X per hour.  She isn't having any discharge from her eyes or nose, only sneezing at this point.

What is the diagnoses for a cat who"s only symptom is sneezing?

          - What is the recommended treatment for sneezing cat?

Also, I guess it doesn't really matter but,  Is the Vet's office a place that could expose my cat to a cold virus?

Definitely sounds like it could be a cold. And I don't know for sure how contagious it is but I suppose some cats could be more susceptible to getting it if around other cats that have it. And I imagine a vet's office is similar in nature to doctors' offices in that regard. There is also the chance though that it was already in his system lying dormant (like the feline herpes virus).

I definitely think you should call your vet back and ask if they think it warrants treatment just for sneezing. They'll probably want to see the kitty again prior to giving treatment if so.

As far as what treatment is used, I think it depends on what the vet thinks the cause is.

I agree with donutte, it sounds like a cold virus and a vet's care is what's needed.
