Alright, it's pretty long so I'll try to sum it up:
-2 or 3 am: Arya vomited undigested chicken and string. Then had bowel movemeng which was formed and normal looking.
-20 minutes later: Threw up again, this time just yellow stuff??
-A short while later: Threw up again, clearish yellowish stuff this time. Not that much.
-And finally, about 20 mins later: Threw up again, but this time it had one small dot of bright red blood and the rest of the vomit was pinkish/reddish orange. The dot of blood was small, probably the size of a curled up rollie pollie bug or smaller. It kind of popped too I guess?
-It's now 5 am and she hasn't thrown up again.

Please help. I'm concerned because there is blood and she threw up string. I don't know if I'm just a hypochondriac or whatever about Arya's health or if this is an actual reason to take her to the vet. My parents say I overworry and it's usually true but right now I am not sure. I don't want to convince my parents to take her in and then have it be nothing and then when it's actually serious, they won't go. Sorry if this is hard to understand, I haven't slept at all and I'm so worried.

Throwing up several times in a short period of time can cause the pinkish tinge in her vomit, AND cause what looks like fresh blood.

What is worrying IS the fact that she has thrown up so many times AND threw up string.  If you knew that all the string was out of her, that would be one thing, bu if there is still some left in her, that could end up causing dire consequences.  How is she acting now?  Is she eating, drinking, etc?  the problem is, she cold be acting just fine one minute, and if there is some string that get tangled up in her intestines, she can QUICKLY go downhill.  If she seems ok now, then just keep a very close eye on her for several more days to make sure she stays that way, ok?

Last Wednesday a poster's cat ate a large rubber band, and it the cat didn't poop it out until today (Sunday), so this shows you how long something can take to get thru their system.

Okay, good to know I shouldn't be super concerned about the blood yet.

And I think she got out all the string, and she's acting fine now, but I'll keep an eye on her.

Ever since we brought her home, she's had diarrhea or thrown up every few weeks. The first time it happened back in late october I posted here. A 1/3rd cup of dry kitten food daily for her to graze on in between wet food fixed up her stools. Then a week after I got her spayed, I forgot to give her dry food for like one or two days and then the diarrhea came back along with butt scooting!! Not fun to clean up. I didn't think it would only take one or two days of just wet food to give her diarrhea! That was around the 24th. Now this. She is free of parasites and appears to have good health and is playing and eating and everything else is fine. I'm starting to think there's nothing actually dangerously wrong, because a day after each scare she's always fine. Maybe she just needs her dry food and needs to stop getting into stuff, which is impossible for a kitten.

Sorry for the big word vomit(ugh). I just needed to get that out of my system. Being a catmom is exhausting, but I love my kitty anyway.

It really isn't normal for a cat to be vomiting or have diarrhea often, so you may want to rethink her diet.  I know you said as long as she eat kibble the diarrhea is in check, but that in itself is telling.  Kibble is drying, and that may be why it keeps her stools firm.  But that isn't necessarily a good thing, as it could be covering up something.

What EXACTLY are you feeding her at this point....I know you were seeking advice on foods.  It's possible something in one of the foods is disagreeing with her and that's causing these issues, IF they aren't related to her ingesting something other than food (ie plastic bags, strings, etc.
)  It might be helpful to keep a food diary so you know that when you feed a certain flavor, she vomits or has a looser stool, then you might be able to narrow down a specific ingredient, possibly fish, or chicken, etc.  Is she getting a grain free canned food or what?  Lots of cats have issues with wheat, soy, corn also.  How about a probiotic?  Have you tried adding in a probiotic to her food?  I give all my cats a probiotic everyday, to keep their gut flora happy.  they get the same ones WE take, 1/2 capsule in the morning and 1/2 capsule in the evening, mixed into their wet food.  (for a kitten, I might cut that in half)

When we first got her, she was on IAMS dry kitten food(chicken), now we're transitioning her to Purina One dry kitten food (chicken). Her wet food rotation consists of a bunch of different brands, but if you want me to, I can post a list? Most of it is grain free, but some is it. I'll compare the ingredients of the foods she ate prior to each incident, and see if I find anything. And I'll definitely start a food diary! I'll consider a probiotic as well.

Thank you so much for your help!

As long as you are willing to keep a food diary, no need to post all her canned food YET, but if she continues vomiting and has soft stools and you can't figure out any specific ingredients that might be the cuprit, then you might want to start up another thread to try to figure it out, and list what she is eating, etc.

Good luck.  It's be time consuming, but hopefully, worth it
(for BOTH of you)
