She definitely is a beauty regardless of her breed. I do see a lot of the doll faced Persian in her face though. They have such sweet faces. This is Sophie's best innocent (I just pushed your purse off the kitchen table but I'll pretend I didn't) look

Who me? I'd never do that!

That face!! Oh my goodness! That's exactly what Luna's eyes look like, same shape.

I definitely see a resemblance between them. Sophie and Lilith had a brother with them when I met them at the shelter and he and your Luna could have been twins. His coloring was very similar. He was gorgeous and really sweet. he had already been adopted and was waiting to be picked up. I wish I had taken a picture of him.

Whatever she is, I have this insane urge to reach through the computer and kiss her right on her widdle semi-smushed nose.  That is one cute kitteh!

Well things are definitely progressing very slowly. Luna's follow-up at the vet showed that her ear infection is not yet resolved. Also, her stool is getting softer again and has once again shown trace amounts of blood. I suspect something bigger is wrong with her so we'll be headed back to the vet for more tests this weekend. I'm supposed to take her in for spaying in the next week or so as well, so that should solve the hormonal factor.

As far as introducing her to the other two:

Things are moving very very slowly there. They're doing great with feeding with a door between them, but I can't crack the door open because now Aladdin always gets distracted from his food and moves towards the door, then she gets spooked and backs off of her food dish. So for the most part they are eating together, but with the door closed.

That said, Room Swaps are getting MUCH easier. Used to be I had to hide Luna in another room, then trick Cookie and Aladdin into her room before closing the door. Now I can just hold Luna in my arms, stand in the doorway and Cookie and Aladdin go right in of their own volition. I've tried it a few times with both of them closed up in her room, and a few times with just Aladdin closed up, as she and Cookie seem closer to being able to get along. They can at least be in the same room together, though Cookie gets upset if she's closer than 4 or 5 feet away.

My husband is coming to visit in a few days and will be here a couple of weeks. One of the goals while he is here is for him to help me work with them during that "dead time" while I'm at work. I really want to try putting Aladdin a carrier in Luna's room with her in there. He is the aggressor and if we can neutralize his behavior we can start making real progress. We will also get her spayed and hopefully get to the bottom of these health issues.

On a related note: I'm also feeding about a dozen ferals outside my building every day and while my hubby is here we plan to try and catch some for a TNR in coordination with a local rescue. Quite a lot of the ones I feed are females so spaying them will be a huge help to the population in my area.

Update! Tonight I did a partial Room Swap. I put Aladdin in Luna's room (he went in willingly) and I let Luna roam with Cookie in the apartment. They got within 4 feet of each other and while Cookie sat up very alert, there was ZERO growling and zero hissing! She stayed right where she was on the couch (one of her favorite spots). Luna just walked around lazily and Cookie never bothered her. So proud of them!!

Headed back to the vet with Luna in a couple of hours. After last night's update she pooped outside the litter box 4 times (she's normally very fastidious), each time very soft, very stinky, and with fresh blood. Hope it's nothing serious.

Well the good news is she tested negative for all the scary diseases, so whatever is going on is nothing contagious to my other two. The doctor is pretty sure she's reacting to the food I've been giving her. I'm not sure if you guys are familiar with Applaws, it's a UK brand available here in the Middle East (I'm in Kuwait at the moment). I buy cheap dry food for my ferals because even the cheap food is ungodly expensive here, and what I'm giving them is better than nothing. I also feed the ferals wet food daily.

But for my two ferals I took in before Luna, Cookie and Aladdin, I started buying Applaws because it is grain free, has good reviews and was supposedly a higher quality. The other two have had no issues with Applaws kibble. I've been feading them Friskies wet food and they LOVE it. I know it's not the greatest quality but I tried other types of wet food and they didn't like them as much.

Long story short: Vet is pretty sure her stinky, soft, bloody poop is the result of poor quality food that she is unable to digest properly. I got some Hill's Science Plan for Sensitive Stomach. He also told me to stop feeding her wet food altogether, but said natural foods like chicken and fish would be okay (I have some cats at home in the Philippines on natural foods also, as well as dogs on homemade dog-food, so I know how to prepare these things).

Her ears were still pretty bad and he spent a good 20 minutes cleaning them again. I think that must have helped because after he was finished she was much, much calmer. They were itching her before.

I got another round of drops to give her, another round of probiotic, and an antibiotic. As soon as we got home I cooked up 2 chicken breasts and shredded them so she'll have food for a few days. I'll pick up some fresh fish this weekend. She loves the new kibble and REALLY loved the chicken. So we'll see where we are in a few days, if she's improving or not.

Unfortunately I can't schedule her for spaying yet because we need to resolve these issues first. And last night she went into heat again. *le sigh*

Poor baby.  Poor you.  I had to save money for Hekitty's spaying.  I had just moved, and she had never gone into heat before, at a little over one year.  No sooner had I paid the myriad deposits that go with moving house, than she got over the allergies in the old place that were inhibiting her heat cycle (and boy did the vet and I shake our heads over that little outcome) and went violently into her first heat.  She would stand at the door and look up at me, saying, "Let meowt.  Let meowt...neow, neow, NEOW!!!   I tried talking to her.. .I told her, "I know, Honey, but those tomcats will promise you the moon and the stars, and leave you with nothing but kittens!"  And she would sigh and say, "I know, Mama, but LET MEOWT!"  Spay day was my best day in 6 months!

Luna gets noisy, but at a considerably lower decibel level. Her cycles last a blessed 6 days. The only thing that makes hers worse is the fact she's mostly confined to a bedroom right now. I let her out to roam the apartment when I can but she spends most of her time in there while I'm at work. She definitely feels safe there.

Good news is I think the diet change and new medicines are helping. I haven't seen any blood or diarrhea since our visit to the vet. Fingers crossed, I may be able to get her spayed next week! Also my husband will be here in a couple days and plans to spend some quality time with her.

Fingers crossed on this end for you as well!  I LOVED the meme.  That's so what it was like with my girl, as well.  I'm surprised the neighbors didn't call the police, thinking I was torturing a cat to death in my apartment.

Hang in there.  Good that the husband will be there to help out soon.  Keep us posted!
