That face!! Oh my goodness! That's exactly what Luna's eyes look like, same shape.
I definitely see a resemblance between them. Sophie and Lilith had a brother with them when I met them at the shelter and he and your Luna could have been twins. His coloring was very similar. He was gorgeous and really sweet. he had already been adopted and was waiting to be picked up. I wish I had taken a picture of him. That face!! Oh my goodness! That's exactly what Luna's eyes look like, same shape.
Oh dear.. let us know how you get on..
Headed back to the vet with Luna in a couple of hours. After last night's update she pooped outside the litter box 4 times (she's normally very fastidious), each time very soft, very stinky, and with fresh blood. Hope it's nothing serious.
Poor baby. Poor you. I had to save money for Hekitty's spaying. I had just moved, and she had never gone into heat before, at a little over one year. No sooner had I paid the myriad deposits that go with moving house, than she got over the allergies in the old place that were inhibiting her heat cycle (and boy did the vet and I shake our heads over that little outcome) and went violently into her first heat. She would stand at the door and look up at me, saying, "Let meowt. Let meowt...neow, neow, NEOW!!! I tried talking to her.. .I told her, "I know, Honey, but those tomcats will promise you the moon and the stars, and leave you with nothing but kittens!" And she would sigh and say, "I know, Mama, but LET MEOWT!" Spay day was my best day in 6 months!
Unfortunately I can't schedule her for spaying yet because we need to resolve these issues first. And last night she went into heat again. *le sigh*
Luna gets noisy, but at a considerably lower decibel level. Her cycles last a blessed 6 days. The only thing that makes hers worse is the fact she's mostly confined to a bedroom right now. I let her out to roam the apartment when I can but she spends most of her time in there while I'm at work. She definitely feels safe there.
Good news is I think the diet change and new medicines are helping. I haven't seen any blood or diarrhea since our visit to the vet. Fingers crossed, I may be able to get her spayed next week! Also my husband will be here in a couple days and plans to spend some quality time with her.
