My foster kitten was adopted!!

Our foster kitten was with us almost 2 months. She was a sweet petite little girl, about 4-6 months old. The kids and I carried her around, cuddled her, had her sleep in our beds and just loved on her. I worried and wondered where a good home would come from for her. It seems sometimes like there are so few homes left for kitties!

Today, a good family adopted her! The adoptive family plans to keep her as a cherished, spoiled indoor only cat and feed her premium food. They have one other pet, a small 10 year old dog.

I was unable to meet the adoptive family due to prior commitments today, but my foster coordinator sent me a picture of our kitty being cuddled by her new doting parents. I felt pure joy to know that I saved a kitten from death and she will have such a wonderful forever family. Without the rescue, her prospects would have been bleak. But because somebody picked her off the street and turned her into the rescue, and she got vetted and fostered, now she will live a pampered charmed life as a beloved pet. 

There is a bit of nostalgia at missing her today, but pure joy at knowing the life that she now has. I can't wait to see who we get to foster next! It's so much fun!

That is great news! I love how many foster organizations there are out there for dogs and cats these days. Shelters are a blessing but fosters are such a great step in a good direction. I adopted my second pooch yesterday from a foster organization.
