I got a nice surprise today

I have been a member of L'Oreal's consumer testing panel for years. They send me surveys for product tests periodically and for whatever reason, I always seem to not qualify. I think I got through once yet I still do the surveys anyway. Today I got a package from them. I thought it was odd because they always make it pretty clear that I didn't qualify after the survey is over. So I opened the package and found this letter


I've done a lot more than 5 surveys for them over the years.I guess they mean recently. Here's the gift they sent:


Lancome sells that moisturizer for $38 and the mascara runs $5-6 in big box stores.

Wow! Nice gift! Congratulations!

Maybe that is the reason you didn't qualify - because the surveys were too far apart. Their selection of winners might be computer generated so you would have to have a certain amount of surveys within a certain time span?  Start doing more frequent surveys and see what happens!

They send me the surveys through email so I have to wait for them to send it to do them unfortunately. They decide how often they come out.

I do surveys for Diatribe (for diabetic information / products). I'm not sure how often the surveys come out, but they send me $5 each time I do one.  After so many surveys, they send $10.  I've done a couple other panels like that over the years, and never gotten anything.

I also do surveys for Pinecone Research. I've been with them the longest. They pay $3 per survey but their surveys often lead to product tests. I've gotten a lot of stuff from them from half gallons of ice cream to cleaning products to designer perfume (a small bottle) and more. After the PT I get a follow survey for another $3. It adds up.
