When Midi was sick the Vet wanted to put him on Baytril. After I did a little research I was uncomfortable with this medication due to some of the nasty side effects, in particular, blindness (especially if given an overdose).
I did a tonne of research and found a new formulation of Baytril call Veraflox that is safer with respect to ocular health. It is relatively new and my vet never heard of it. He did some research and called Bayer directly to get some more info and confirmed that it was a good option.
I just wanted to share this with the community http://www.researchgate.net/publica...terial_Lower_Urinary_Tract_Infections_in_Cats
