We just adopted a new kitty, Zombie, a few days ago. She is a baby, and rounds out our kitty family nicely, kind of. So here is a little history on our kitties.

We started out with Jade. She is about a year old now, and is our oldest cat. She is fixed, declawed, and about as mellow as they come. Not much riles her up. She is an indoor/outdoor cat.

Then we added Alex. She is about 7 months old now, not fixed or declawed, and while she has her moments of calm, that are getting more frequent, she is still very much a playful kitten. When we added Alex, we  started out feeding them in different parts of the living room,(which didn't last, they ate out of each others bowls from day one) giving them their own time to get used to each other. Jade went outside, we didn't see her for 4 days, and when she came home, they were buddies, in the sense that they don't fight, and Jade generally ignores Alex.

Now we have Zombie. She is about 2 months old, very cuddly, and tries to be friendly with both the established cats.Jade hissed at her the first day, and now just sort of ignores her the same way she ignores Alex.

Now the problem:

Alex is having NONE of Zombie. Every time Zombie comes near her, she hisses at her and runs away from her. She doesn't stop her from eating (they have a communal feeder bowl for food and water) or using the littler box, but watches her eat and use the box.  I'm not sure what to do, because I didn't have the problem the first time. I don't want to have to find a new home for Zombie, but I don't want to cause Alex distress that won't go away. What do I do?
