Hi everyone. I've got kind of a stressful situation for me right now. Normally, I have 3 cats - one female and two males (both brothers). A month ago, my sister moved back in to my family's house and brought her cat with her - a 14 year old female that is very dominant. We keep my sisters cat separate from the other cats at all times, but her scent has managed to make it to the other cats which have started marking all over the house now. On top of the marking, one of the brothers has become very aggressive towards my female cat, and recently gave her an injury that required stitches. Today, we tried reintroducing her to the other two cats with poor results. The aggressor attacked her twice in the evening. My female cat has also become scared of the other cats, and has been isolated from the others for two weeks now to recover from the last attack.

There was almost no aggression between any of my cats for the two years they lived together until my sister moved in. My family is also moving into a new house sometime in December or January, and my sister will not be coming with, and neither will her cat. Will my cat become less aggressive when my sisters cat is no longer present? Will they continue to mark everywhere at the new house? Re-homing my female cat would be a last-ditch-effort.

You need to step back and do a reintroduction at the cats' pace. Put a door in between them and slowly work up to a gate where they can see each other. You feed them on either side of the door and then the gate, moving the dishes closer and closer. Watch Jackson Galaxy videos on cat introductions.

Are all of these cats fixed?
