I just can not figure this one out. From a kitten till Malloy was 1.5 years old he loved kitty treats.

I gave him some treats before I went to bed like usual. Wake up the next day and Malloy "out of the blue" got extremely aggressive when I try to give him a treat. So aggressive I had to take a small pillow and push him off the chair I was sitting on fearing he was going to bite me! He's never showed any aggressive behavior before and hasn't done anything like this since.

When I shoved him off my recliner, the treat went with him. He sat on the floor and just hissed and growled at me. I carefully removed the treat from the floor and he went back to a loving lap cat.

So I packed his treats away and forgot about them for close to a year. Decided the other day to give him a treat, and he loved them with no bad behavior. The following day I tried again to give him a treat and he started to get aggressive again. Odd..

Anyone seen behavior like this before? There is no one else in my house that could have done anything to him to cause this.

How do you give him the treat? Do you make it like a game of catch, or chase? Do you hold the treat in your hand/fingers and Malloy reaches for it?

I would say "treat" and he would eat out of my hand. I'd give him maybe 10 treats then say "no more" and wave my empty hands.
