I have a semi-feral cat and a kitten in my home.  This may be a stupid question, but it has been keeping me up at night.  How am I supposed to trim the feral's nails??  I can barely trim the kitten's nails, and he is a love bug.  In fact, our last nail trim was a total fail.  I cannot even imagine trying to tackle the feral's nails...he does not really let me touch him.

Some cat owners don't trim their cats' nails.  Unless they're scratching you or other pets, destroying furniture, or the claws are growing in a way that's harmful to the cat, then it's not really necessary.  With that said, you can try to build up to it slowly. For example, pet his paws then give him treats, continuing this everyday until he's comfortable with it for longer durations.  Clip one claw then give treats, etc until you can comfortably clip all his claws.

But honestly, it doesn't sound like something very doable with your semi-feral boy.. at least not yet.
