Premium Edge Food

Thread Starter
I found a premium food on the internet that looks pretty decent. I like this food because it contains Omega 3 & 6 Fatty Acids. It's called Premium Edge.

Here are the ingredients in the Adult Formula:
Chicken, chicken meal, rice flour, oatmeal, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), corn gluten meal, flaxseed, beet pulp, natural chicken flavor, fish meal, potassium chloride, salt, choline chloride, methionine, taurine, zinc sulfate, vitamin E supplement, niacin, manganese sulfate, copper sulfate, thiamine mononitrate, vitamin A supplement, biotin, potassium iodide, calcium pantothenate, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), vitamin B12 supplement, manganese oxide, sodium selenite, menadione sodium bisulfite (source of vitamin K activity), vitamin D supplement, folic acid.

The kitten formula contains whole grain brown rice instead of rice flour.

Does anyone have feedback on this food?

I feed my dog premium edge. Premium Edge is made by Diamond, they also make the Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers Soul line. I have been extremely happy with the dog food, but my dealer here won't order me the cat line so I don't have feedback on it. If it were sold here I would for sure use it.

Check the food package to see if it states that it meets or exceeds the AAFCO's standards. Better yet, see if the food was tested using the AAFCO's procedures. If it does, it is ok.

I just read online about fillers such as wheat, soy and corn which can't be digested by cats and they are in many, many cat foods and are the top products, except soy, in Diamond brand cat foods. They also have by-products as the first listed ingredience and these are inedible and are all the beaks, feathers, feet etc of the poor chichen, or whatever. I won't be buying this product because of all I've read. I'm checking into something called Life's Abundance. Has anyone heard of this and the other info on by-products and filles?

Diamond isn't the same formula as Premium Edge is, they are both made by Diamond as is CSFTCLS. Diamond would be the lowest grade formula, Premium Edge higher, and Chicken Soup would be the highest.
Taken directly from the Premium Edge site: • No ground corn, by-products, wheat, or soy. Click Here to Visit Premium Edge
Also if you read all of the posts on this thread you will see that Hell603 posted about Lifes Abundance
