We brought this beautiful little darling into our homes this week and immediately we began to notice unusual behavior and naturally googled the behaviors.
Is there any way to tell by looking at the cat? What are the best ways to know for sure? Besides a visit to the vet. Obviously. However since this is not an emergency, yet.
What are your ways of detecting pregnancy in kittens. The friendly folks we got her from said she was 12 weeks. Upon further questioning we got an answer of mid July. That's 4 mounths and double what they told us.
We are going to get her fixed after the 1 st of the mounth.

So everyone? Is she pregnant?

It isn't possible to tell just by looking at a cat, at least not until further along. What are the symptoms? You are much more likely to be having problems with a parasite than with kittens. At her age it is unlikely she would be pregnant. She would be unlikely to be pregnant or at least far enough along to notice at this age though. But if the age estimate is still off, it would be a little bit more likely.

I have had a 4 month old pregnant foster cat before. She delivered them when she was 6 months. Poor thing didn't have a clue what to do with them at first. She slowly stopped producing milk and a week after they were born she wasn't producing any. They became bottle babies. She did clean them and keep them warm. She became a good mom considering her circumstances. I just had to feed them. Being pregnant with them that young probably stunted her growth. She is still a tiny cat.

What has she been doing that makes you think she's pregnant?
