I opened our jar last night. OMG.

I ate a spoonfull right out of the jar and thought I went to heaven.

Seriously, seriously, seriously good stuff! Rick tried it with some pretzels. He agrees. If you live close to a TJs, you need to have this on hand. Just.....because.

I had to hide it to keep it away from me. The problem is, I know where it is!

I NEVER shop at Trader Joe's (being a recently non-observant Weight Watcher) because that place is DANGEROUS!

It is FULL of yummy things I have a hard time resisting, with that said I may have to check out the Crunchy Cookie Butter though.

He he he maybe it can be a Thanksgiving Day treat

It sounds good but I only eat smooth peanut butter rather than with nuts. I don't really know where there is a Trader Joe's in my area.  I know they are around but don't know exactly where.

Noooooooo.  I'm still finishing all the pumpkin-flavored things I bought at TJ's, now you're telling me they have MORE irresistible things to try?!

I live close to a Trader Joe's but I resist going there very often.  I haven't been there in a while, I always come out of there with way too much 'stuff' that I don't need.  The one close to me has a double whammy, it is also close to a Cheesecake Factory.

This isn't peanut butter at all. It is called Cookie Butter and it's rather like a dip that tastes like sugar cookies. It really is delicious and can quickly become addictive.

I like the Pumpkin Butter, too; it kind of reminds me of a spicier apple butter. Good stuff.

Yeah, that's one thing I always get when I go to TJ's :D. I like the smooth kind though. Mmmm. I like it on pretzel buns. . .

You don't need a TJ's near you to have cookie butter. It is VERY easy to make and you can use any kind of cookie you like although I think it works better with crunchy cookies like OREOS!!!

Recipe

1 package of your favorite Oreos ( I say if you're going in, go all in - DOUBLE STUF!
)

1/4 Cup coconut oil at room temperature

Add both to a food processor and blend on high for 5 minutes. Scrape down the side of the bowl with a spatula and blend again for 3 minutes.

Store at room temperature. A Mason jar would be good for this.  It will be liquidy at first because the food processor heated up the coconut oil but as it sits, it will get to the consistency of peanut butter.

Feel free to mix and match cookies in this: Vanilla Oreos and gingersnaps, Oreos and Nutter Butters. The combinations are endless. As if we needed another reason to troll the cookie aisle.

*Vegetable oil can be used but it will stay runnier than if you used coconut oil. * You might have to use more cookies to thicken it. Wouldn't that be awful?

Try it with fresh strawberries.

Look at it as an excuse to eat more fruit! Blending vanilla Oreos with the new pumpkin spice ones would make a great dip for apple slices. Plus everyone knows that broken cookies don't have any calories. Blended ones don't either.

I found myself in Trader Joe's, I hate it when that happens.  I went to Barnes and Noble to do a little Christmas shopping and it's also close to Trader Joe's.  I actually didn't buy that much for myself, I got some things to finish out a gift with, but I got a box of sandwich cookies that should be illegal.  They are really good butter cookies that have just a little crispiness to them and the cookie butter as filling.  I don't even want to look at the calorie and fat counts on those.  I did make it by the Cheesecake Factory without going in though.
