I wish I could help you, but I've not had any experience with this.  Someone should be along shortly to help you, though.

Has the vet said anything about what caused the first blockage? Have they tested for crystals or infection and given you any further treatment instructions for the problem? It seems like if he had a blockage just flushing him would help with the immediate emergency, but may not fix the underlying issue that caused the blockage in the first place, meaning there may be a recurrence.

He probably still has pain, and may be holding back a bit. But after the catheter is out he should be able to pee a thin stream, not just drops. Can you phone the vet and ask?

This is Royal Canin Urinary S/O, right? When our cat had traces of crystals after going through a non crystal caused blockage the vet told us to put him on this food _just in case_. From what I've heard it really works and works well, even though the ingredients aren't that great. I have not heard of Josera food but I would highly encourage finding some place that will sell Urinary S/O (ideally wet, if your cat will eat it). I bet your vet would have it in their store, they usually do.

Otherwise just strive to get as much water into him as you can. Some ideas to try:

* Add some water to the food

* Try a couple of water fountains

* Place multiple bowls around the house

* Try putting some icecubes in the water, sometimes they like to play with them and end up drinking some as well

Our vet kept stressing - water, water, water. Our cat can never be on dry food again.
