I am thankful to have Sasha because she has always been the constant in my life. I got her as a Christmas present when I was a freshman in high school and over these past 9 years we have gone through many changes and struggles together including my parents' divorce, my father's death, and moving seven times.  I have 6 siblings so I was used to a full house.  When I moved to a different city to go to college, I couldn't bring Sasha with me the first year since I lived in dorms.  The second year I lived in an apartment that didn't allow pets.  The first night at that apartment was really lonely and scary for me.  It was so weird and different to not hear people walking around or talking in the other room. Later that year, I moved into a different place that allowed pets, brought Sasha to live with me, and haven't felt lonely since! She is sitting next to me as I write this!

ENTRY I'm thankful my all my cats, my indoor ones and my outdoor ones, the colony kitties I care for, are all safe and sound, especially the one that was attacked by a dog. Thankfully she is well and recovering.

I am thankful for Cadbury's crazy antics. He makes me laugh, and we all need laughter in our life. :)

I'm thankful for the fact the way our cats have helped RB, my brother, realize that animals can be good for something other than eating. He didn't even bond with the dogs back when we had them. Well, to be perfectly honest, RB would probably still be like that--if not for our cat Ra. From the first day that the kittens ventured out of my room (where they were born) Ra attached himself to RB. He would wait for RB outside of his door, would follow RB around inside the house, and was the first kitten to venture outside (following RB, of course). RB couldn't help but fall in love with the precocious kitten, and now he realizes that animals can actually be pets instead of food

ENTRY I'm so grateful for Robins sense of humor. I swear he loves to hear people giggle! When he jumps out from behind my hanging coat, knowing it will make me laugh, I just feel a little better about the world .

I'm so thankful that my bottle baby rescue Domino knows when I need him and let's me know when he needs me. He has had many near complete blockages and has has a cystotomy. Each time he just let me know it hurt. He also knows when I hurt or need love and he just makes sure he gives me love. all 20 lbs of him climbs up and makes bread and then sleeps on me. View media item 312889 this is right now. The flash bothered him.

ENTRY - I'm grateful to Pushkin for learning to trust me and teaching me how to bond with semi feral cats. She'll now come running when I call her, and follow me like a dog. It's a very special connection that we have, and I'm honoured to know her. :heart3:  :heart3:

ENTRY.

I'm thankful for Sophie coming home. I'm thankful her being smart enough to survive on her own for 6 weeks, even though she couldn't remember where she lived. I'm thankful to her for allowing someone to see her and let me know where she was. I'm thankful that she remembered me and came running when I called her.

I'm thankful for the other cats being so calm when I brought her home and accepting her again as if she'd never been away.

Cats are wonderful!

I am thankful that my kitten was so strong in all the hospitals he had to go through. He went through daily anaesthesia to have his bladder drained with needles, 3 surgeries, countless procedures. The vets gave up but he didn't - he peed on his own for the first time in a month on the morning he was to be put to sleep. We don't know how long we will have with him, but I am so thankful that he is here next to me right now, napping against my side.

I'm thankful that my cats always know how to cheer me up. Their antics can always make me smile--if not laugh outright--and sometimes they use that to get out of trouble.
For example, when I'm upset about them getting on the counter Ra will fling himself down at my feet and roll over to show his belly while bringing his front paws up and giving me a cat grin. It's like he's saying, "How can you be mad at me? I'm cute." Asia will look behind her like she expects me to be scolding another cat, and Slipper will engage me on a chase through the house until I lose track of her. After I've looked for her a little bit she'll come trotting up with a toy in her mouth like she's saying, "See? I'm being good. I don't know who  you were chasing."

I am thankful for my two cats, Sammy and Zander, because no matter what I do or how bad I mess up they still love me and they know I love them.

5. To participate in this giveaway you must be over 18 years of age.
Darn.. This is the one reason I can't participate.. I'm not like other 18 year olds.. I'm 35..
Assuming you were 18 years old in your past, you're welcome to participate

And to clarify - we're talking actual age, not mental age

I'm thankful to Shadow for being so accepting and understanding of Asha. He seemed to know EXACTLY when to push and when to back off while she was recovering and building her confidence. He never once gave her a negative reaction - just stayed patient through all he panics and freak outs. He's truly an extraordinary and special cat :worship:
