Can you perhaps add a board at the base of the enclosure and line it with barbed wire? I would do this around the outside of the enclosure. It would provide a barrier the snake may be hesitant to go over. It would have to be tall enough to keep the snake from going up and over, I would think.

Other than that, is there a biological barrier you can use? I know coyote urine will keep cats at bay. Wonder if there is something like that for snakes?

The only other thing I can think of is a moat but some snakes can swim!

got a second opinion about photo I     thought. looked  like a snake inside enclosure where kittens hang out.  not a snake.but a leaf. was told to move kitten feeding station away from enclosure because it is on  private property on Elks Lodge property.found a tree near by that has a hollow place in the middle. moved the kitten feeding station there. the two kittens scamper  back and forth from enclosure to tree.it is funny to watch  them.only one of the kittens  still needs to be trapped and TNRd. she has avoided a drop trap and   ;regular trap. useing a trail camera to  keep track of her movements. my daughter is feeding them because   I could  get fired from my job next door  if caught.
