So I posted here before about my four year old, Piglet, and got some really helpful answers. She's back to normal and healthy! Now I'm back with a question about a cat we're babysitting for my brother's girlfriend! This cat is approximately two years old--and is a bit too curious and scrappy for her own good. She, Piglet, and another upset cat in the household have been getting into little fights. At first they were harmless, but one in particular gave this two year old cat, Nala, two wounds; one behind her ear, the other on her back, between her shoulder blades. We've been treating them and applying medicine to them, and it seemed to be working until tonight. She had just had the medicine applied and then got upset and started scratching (the wound on her back is too low for the cone to work on) and she scratched the scab right off. There is a lot of hair she has also scratched away, and it's currently almost 1AM so we won't be able to bring her into the vet until morning. (Again, no 24 hour in the area.)

Right now she appears to be in a lot of pain, as she is in her bed just going in circles and cannot be still. If I go to try and take a look at the cut she cries and meows until I leave her alone. Is there anything I can do to alleviate the pain until we can bring her in? I feel bad she can't even get to sleep! Thanks for any help!
