DD's 2 front teeth have been loose for several weeks but they are taking their own sweet time.  I can feel like they are hitting the new tooth when we wiggle them so I'm surprised they are trying so hard to hang on in there.  It's bugging her when she eats.  Her first 2 permanent teeth came out behind the baby teeth.  I'm afraid these might re-route themselves too if the baby teeth don't get out of the way.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to help her loosen them?  She has been eating a whole apple almost every day and we've also tried giving her crusty bread.
I don't know why she doesn't like wiggling them.  When I was little I was all about wiggling those suckers out and getting my Tooth Fairy money!
They aren't lose enough to pull on.  I did have to pop her first tooth out because it was just hanging on tightly by the smallest thread.
So maybe this is going to be a thing for her?

Go to the dentist. You don't want to do anything to harm her new teeth

I loved wiggling/loosing teeth so much that I was disappointed to learn they did not continue to fall out and grow back forever.
I agree completely with @Stewball.  In this situation, it would be best to let a dentist take care of it, to avoid potential problems with DD's permanent teeth.

If eating is a problem for your daughter, then a trip to the dentist is probably good. Keep in mind that the dentist will most likely take out ALL the loose baby teeth they find - it could be quite a few.

Those permanent teeth are very strong when they come out; loose baby teeth aren't going to make them grow crooked. The new teeth generate a substance that dissolves the roots of the baby teeth so they will fall out, and they do it on their own time.

If your daughter sees the dentist regularly anyway, I wouldn't worry about it, but you can always call the office and ask if it's necessary to bring her in. Otherwise, I would just leave it alone.

It's so freaky, when their teeth come in. Our daughter had two rows of teeth for the longest time, like a shark. The dentist said it's normal and pretty common, and they eventually fell out and her adult teeth are fine. She liked to wiggle her loose teeth, and one time she was drawing with a blue Sharpie marker and got some on her fingers, then wiggled her front tooth. When I saw her, the tooth was bright blue and sticking straight out of her mouth LOL!

The dentist isn't concerned.  He said to wiggle wiggle wiggle.

DD has never liked biting things with her front teeth.  I think thats part of the problem.  She has gotten better about it; but she used to not like hard pretzels.  She would eat corn on the cob and eventually whole apples; so I guess it was just a matter of preference for her.  She also doesn't like stickly foods like licorice (twizzles even) or starbursts.  That's something I'm glad for!
