My little terror kitty is now five months old. She was a round little fuzzy ball when she arrived and is now a rather rapidly growing fuzzy balloon!

I give her one small can of premium food a day and there is a bowl of food in the garage for the other cats. She also visits my mother's house, next door,  now that she knows there is Lactaid milk (which seems to prevent the diarrhea of regular milk in the other six family felines) and will clean up all the leftover food in the bowls that the other cats won't eat. That food is just Friskies, not premium.

Her appetite seems insatiable! If I don't give her enough can food to her desire she will act out and throw tantrums or just demand to go outside. I can handle this behavior, but the fact that this kitten seems ALWAYS hungry is curious.

She's spayed now, which did not slow her down a bit and been wormed. She is a very active kitten and the aggressiveness has mellowed a bit. The claws stay in but I still end up with a love bite to the nose a bit too often.

I am curious if this gluttony is just a genetic thing or if there is a medical condition to which this behavior can be attributed? I've never had a cat like this, that is for sure!

Look at that belly, and that attitude!

OK, but she is a butterball already! She'll be a basketball by adulthood!

Yes, coyotes are a problem here. She has five fenced acres to roam. I do my best to teach fear of coyotes to all seven cats.

She's adorable

She will grow into it and her appetite should level out as she gets older. If she's outdoors a lot, she'll also probably supplement what you feed her with mice and such that she catches. If she's an active kitty, it will even itself out.

OK, I'll be patient. I must add that I was referring to the LITTLE cans not the TEENY little cans I see on the shelves! Since I always have a multiple cat household I can't imagine trying to feed them with the itty-bitty cans!

Could she be
No, she was spayed three weeks ago. That was fun. "Keep her indoors and quiet for two weeks" I laughed and said 'good luck with that'.

She was even crazier and more active than usual. She managed to get the wound unglued a bit and got a bit of infection, but finally it started to heal. I even tried some cat tranqs on her to keep her quiet, and it worked for about two days and then zoom! she was off like a rocket, again.
