Lost since November 10th

My baby Salem is missing.. she is only 10 months old. Never been outside until she disappeared. She didn't have her collar on, and has no tattoo or chip. I have posted on facebook sites, and with the ottawa humain society. Its get to g so cold out. Her sister xena is continuously looking for Salem. Out windows and all over the house. Any adcice?

Do you have anything outdoors with her scent on it?  Does she have a favorite blanket or bed?  Has she ever been in a carrier?  you could leave a carrier out wtih some food and something with her scent and she might decide to wait there for your return.  Also you can take a shirt you have been wearing, and then wipe the sides of her sisters face with it so it will have her scent too and then put that in the carrier.  Look in the early morning hours and early evening hours.

Also if Xena will walk on a leash you can take her out with you when you look or Salem.  Cats really can smell well.  Salem might be near, but be scared and hiding and perhaps seeing  or smelling Xena would help coax her out.  Is Salem spayed?  She might be hanging out with a bad crowd and show up home in a few weeks, pregnant...

I did have one of the litter boxes out, i brought it in to regain the smell of the house. I am thinking of putting one of my dogs blankets out with her carrier. She used to lay with thw dog as well. I am hoping she is only out ro get pregnant and thwn come back. Im terrified that predators might have gotten to her..

Yes, it is a dangerous world out there for a kitten who is street smart, let alone one who has never been out there.  Has the dog been out looking with you?
