We have a 6 mo old kitten who's had bloody stools on and off for about three months. She's been to the vet several times, but her tests are always clear. She did get antibiotics last time to treat something that might not be showing up on the tests, but this morning we again saw that she had blood in her stool.

Does anyone know what might be going on with her? We're very worried!

Has she been dewormed?  Have you tried her on various diets to rule out allergies?  She could be allergic to grains and inflamed because of it.

Did the bleeding stop while she was on the antibiotic?  Is it fresh blood (red).  Is there a lot of it, or just a drop or two or what exactly are you seeing?

What tests has your Vet run?  Fecal float?  PCR?

The bleeding wasn't present while on antibiotic. About a week following it appeared again. It's not constant, just every now and then. Bright red fresh blood in her stool, and it does seem like a lot to me, especially for a young cat. There's definitely more than a few drops.
The vet tested her stools (I'm afraid I don't know specific name of the test) on two separate occasions and found nothing- no evidence of parasites or worms. Despite that, she's been on medicine now to treat parasites because the antibiotics apparently didn't work.

We have her on a combination of wet and dry food. Perhaps we should try just the wet food?

OK, bright red blood normally isn't a major concern.  I'm actually surprised that antibiotic did anything for it, and that may actually have just been a coincidence.  Anyway, this quote was taken directly from the following website:  http://www.felineconstipation.org/whatgoeswrong.html

"Visible blood usually indicates a more minor problem low in the bowel, perhaps a little tear or fissure, an indication of straining at stool".

Especially since you've indicated that is is erratic, I suspect she IS constipated on occasion.  Has your Vet discussed that with you as a possibility?  Yes, an all wet diet can be helpful with that, plus adding in some canned plain pumpkin can help.  Maybe 1 teas, 3 times per day, if she'll eat it.

she IS constipated on occasion.

I used to put flax seed oil on the dry food when mine were having really hard stools, occasionally just a bit of vit E oil...
