They're beautiful. Those coats must take a lot of work. Do they mind being groomed? I have a Chinchilla Persian and he hates it.

They are so cute they just dont look real. My friend had a Pomeranian once that looked like a stuffed animal and thats what they remind me of.

Possiepurrs. Reason they are considered silver tabbies is because there mother was a calico Persian. Their daddy was a shaded silver. They take much more after him than her, especially Princess. She looks just like her daddy.. Let me dig up a pic of them both that I have.. Maybe you are thinking about blue tabbies? They have much darker stripes than silvers do..

I think they are magnificent, regardless of their eye color.  BTW...I'm very partial to green-eyed kittehs.

Mamany. Thanks. I think they are gorgeous too. I wish my 2 had green eyes silvers have but it was doubt with their mom being a calico. At times though Princess' eyes do look green in the light. She sure takes after her father..

Thanks Detroitcatlady. :)

ellag, No I never have shown them. They are not considered pure silver because of their mother being a calico so they wouldn't win anything. Now their father has been shown many times and has one a lot awards.

My foundation boy for my cattery (I breed silver and goldens) is from a Cream sire and a silver mother. He is a copper eyed silver - in other associations (I Show in CFA) he would be considered a pewter. Just because they are from a calico x silver breeding doesn't mean they are silver tabbies, just that they may have bad eye color. The girl that I posted is from my foundation boy and a golden mother. At least that is the way it is in CFA, maybe your registry is different? We can use any color Persian in our breeding - although most don't due to losing eye color.

Posiepurrs, I was told by their breeder that they are silver tabbies because of not being a pure silver. They were actually an accident. She did not know her 9 month old boy was able to breed yet. Originally I only wanted a girl but none were available. I decided to get Prince. She was going to keep Princess. Then she decided to sell the girl and asked me if I wanted her too. So I got both. Where are you located? Here is a picture of the whole litter. Only one had orange in him (sitting by the pole).

Posiepurrs, That is a beautiful golden in your picture. I have wanted one since I heard of them. Right now I am busy with my 2. I love to have a golden one day.
