New here and new cat owner to be

Hey all! My name is Matt and I am from Leicestershire, UK. I have had pets all my life, including two family cats.

I live with my partner in a flat now and we decided to get a kitten soon! My partner's friend's cat had kittens and so we have reserved one. They are only tiny right now so will not be ready until January. She is a calico and we're very excited to get her! Although I have had cats before, I'm never had one of my own so this is new to me!

I am currently immersing myself in cat books, videos and everything I can find! So yeah, joining this forum for more education as I want to give my new cat the best life she can have!

Hi.  Welcome to the cat site!  Congrats on the soon to be new addition to your family.  Cats are so much fun, and really are not difficult to raise, but rest assured, should you have any questions there are lots of knowledgable people on the site who have probably experienced something similar, at least once.    And of couse once you get that cute little baby home, I am positive you will want to share stories and photos, and we look forward to those too.

Congrats! Make sure to put your cat in a separate room for awhile so she can get used to you and your partners smells.
