I think your cat isn't doing well because he's very sick. You're clearly doing a lot for him, I just think it's possible that you're at the end of where medication can help.

Im very afraid of that...Thats why im thinking other possibilities causes like metacam or lack of hype pills.. Im trying my best to keep my cat alive but I know where to stop. When Medic, other things does not help anymore its the time put my cast in rest..  Long-term of Metacam usage can causes Los of apetite, tiredness, Vomiting, kidney problems.. Some vets sites says that usually when cat has osteasarcoma they need combination of different medicine to relieve the pain. Metacam is not alone very effective because bone cancer is painful.. My cat started to eat something today when whe changed his food..... My cat drinks a lot of water and he loves cat milks..... He likes dry food but eats wet food too... His   litter box habit are normal. He is tired but he pay to attention if im trying to talk with him...  When I see these sign I feel like the the cause might   due to some other things like metacam.. etc.

Some cat has been living with osteosarcoma 9 months- 2 years.. Thats why im little bit hopeful.

I am glad you are hopeful, never give up on your friend until you need to, until you know it's time. Please make sure that you plan out your approach and ensure that you have all the medication and supplies you need. You have to be diligent, it doesn't take long for them to slip backwards. Sending your kitty healing thoughts.

Best of luck to both of you. Do you think you need to take him to the vet because of his paw? I wonder if sores are a side effect?

Today was non metacam day because it ended and Im impressed that he did eat much  more food than yesterday.  It seems we did give him  5.0 kg instead of 4.0kg metacam because he has lost one pound past the month and we didn't notice it.. So we did give him 1.0Kg more

Can someone help me little bit? I tried to touch his sore in his tumor leg and it was painful!! I thought he didn't feel his leg anymore but he still feels the pain... Should I go for vet? Can they do something?? I heard that the rupture skin + infection are one of symptoms of his tumor... Now wonder why he does not eat well..

He may need to be humanely euthanized.  It sounds very advanced.  At the very least he needs a vet and pain medication but allowing your cat to remain in pain without a vet's assistance is not kind to your cat.  Buprenorphine is a good narcotic pain reliever, but he MUST go to a vet ASAP.

I see
We did get metacam today and the only way he takes it is with a  cat milk... He has also  has over threaded hyperthyroid  and we have struggles to give him the medicine because he does not even eat raw or human food or tuna much more than before.. He licks the the normal cat food but dont eat much....I thought the advanced phase would be when hes shows  breathing problems because osteasarcoma sometimes can metasasis for lungs...

His sore is very small..

He is likely in the advanced phase because of the symptoms you're describing. If he's not eating and is yelping in pain he is suffering. Please speak to your vet.

I think if he starts to struggle breathing, you have left it too late. In my opinion it is better to let your friend go a little early, however hard it is, rather than let him suffer more each day. If the vet can ease his suffering and pain so he still enjoys being with you, then maybe you have a little more time, but if these powerful drugs he is taking are not working any more, then it is time. I am so sorry you are going through this, I know how hard it is.

I see..Buprenorphine seems to be 30 powerful than morphine and cats tolerate it.. I also I have read vet site where they say that Osteasarcoma needs combination of  pain killer medic... The metacam itself is not effective because osteasarcoma is painful tumor. I just hope my vet understand this and there are better pain relief medic available here in finland.

All pain relievers have side effects and vets sometimes are reluctant to prescribe them for long. But in your case the side effects are not important long term - it is important to make him as comfortable as possible for whatever time he has left. But only you can decide when his quality of life is not what you would want for him, and indeed, what he would want for himself.

Yeah.. I just dont feel the time is yet even tough he is in pain.. He can walk with one leg, he can use his litter box, not hiding for the pain, Did not stopped drinking water, grooming and eats little bit..... The metacam does not help him as before..  Thats why i need much stronger medicine... If it does not help him too..Then the euthanized is the only option.

I know. It is hard. You just have to be extra sensitive to his feelings right now, which I am sure you are.

Thank u for your wisdom!  Is there period where even stronger pain relief cannot battle against cat tumor pain level? Buprenorphine are used when the pain level is very high....  If i get the stronger palliative medicine does my cat appetite increase if its work?
