Kittens tail broken?

So a friend is staying over my house and she brought her cat and I noticed his tail seemed broken. I asked her if it was broken and she said she had recently got the cat from a family whose kids would pull on her tail and even slammed her tail with a door. The cat doesn't seem to be in pain or anything when you grab or touch it but I'm still concerned. Should we take this cat to the vet or will it heal? I don't mind taking him I just don't want to see the cat suffer of any health problems that the tail could've had caused.

Poor thing! I would have her checked out by a vet for sure.
