My kitten has, what appears to be, scabs on his face? They're light in color almost like canned wet food and thick. I used a warm cloth to soften them up because it seemed to be food stuck in his hair. When I started combing it out hair chunks came with it. Does this mean he may have an infection? The skin looks healthy, but very dry.. could it be from using a wet cloth to clean him up after every feeding, he is very messy? Has anyone had this issue before?

You should take him to see a vet. He may need antibiotics and prescription dermatology ointment. I also would not remove the scabs any longer.

Let us know what the vet says.

Yes, I agree. Your kitten needs vet attention. This could be an infection of some sort. If so, it won't get better without antibiotics.
