I tried it for the first time, why do cats love the inexpensive stuff every time?
I've tried just about every food on the shelf and the only thing my two Boys will eat is Sheba Chicken, Salmon, and Beef Pate`.

I tried the Turkey Pate once...ONCE. It has the same exact ingredients as the chicken (including the chicken!) except they added some turkey to it, but they absolutely refused to touch it! Which is weird because they love roasted turkey breast - providing I mince it up real small and put it on a glass plate! They also refuse anything that is chunked or sliced.

I'm not complaining though. Sheba is pretty good and only 50 cents a can! They share a 3 ounce can in the morning and another 3 ounce can in the evening, and sometimes they don't even finish that! How the hell got to be 13.9 and 14.2 pounds is beyond me!

Yes. They are free fed kibble. Their bowl holds 3/4 cup and with both of them nibbling at it all day, that much can last them 24 hours. That, plus their wet food, is not all that much for two teenaged cats.

Treats are far and few between; maybe 3 or 4 times a week and those consist of Temptations Chicken bites or an occasional small serving of roasted chicken breast. Maybe once a week or so, they will share a rounded Tablespoon of non-dairy yogurt.

They are not over weight at all. Kricket is a Maine Coon and still growing at almost 20 months. Keeker is a DSH and long, tall, lean and muscular! They are both just big boys!

It's funny: for some reason my mother sent me a can of Sheba turkey "cuts" and I just fed it to the cats yesterday and they loved it, too! The tapioca starch comes after "natural flavor" so the only ingredient I don't really like to feed is the menadione. Even so, I might buy them a can every now and then as a variety meal. It's hard to find variety meals without carrageenan, potato, peas, or fish!

My stray/ferals really love Sheba. I buy the variety pate packet on Amazon for them pretty often. My fosters like the chicken, but the rest of my cats don't care for it. Some of them like the FF chicken, though.

My two ate it all quicker than their two prior favorites! It is certainly reasonable, it is good to know when I retire I can cut back on cat food budget! It looked and smelled better than fancy feast, more juicey!

What if you put the roastedturkey onto a China plate and not a glass plate?

LOL, they have a special glass plate they eat from. If I put it on China, they would still eat it, but I couldn't warm it in the microwave!

I put China in the microwave no problem.
Well...not that I am opposed to feeding my cats on fine bone china, I just don't put it in the microwave because it has a fine platinum trim which is not microwave safe. Nor do I put it in the dishwasher.

Ah. You've got posh crockery. I haven't. But I don't put their food in the microwave.

I don't microwave everything I feed them. But, if I have left-over roasted chicken or something in the refrigerator, I will zap it a few seconds to take the chill off and refresh the aroma.
