Maine Coone ferals?

So, here are our two "fluffy" ferals we have to catch. The bottom one is Tiki's mom (we believe).

Aren't they reminiscent of Maine Coon cats?

The first one looks like the one that was under my porch Thursday (who ran away while I went inside to get my trap). I've never read up on Main Coons - are they typically just fluffy and big??

Well, there are certain criteria for Maine Coons, and I think that current cats are only supposed to be purebread and mated with other Maine Coon cats.

But they're generally larger than other cats (other than females), very sturdy, they have a large amount of chest fur, and furry eartips like a lynx. See THIS cat for an idealized Maine Coone.

If you look closer at this cat, you can see she's got those types of traits.

I guess Maine Coones were once feral, so it's not out of the question.
