I'm taking care of a few feral kittens,  one kitten isn't eating, I brought it into the house, I have one of those cat play or cat cage things in the house

Can I try some cooked brown rice or minute rice with chicken broth?

Is Pepto out of the question?

I have vanilla yogurt

The kitten isn't eating the little bit of canned food I gave her, usually they go crazy for food.

I have my first cat but he's never been sick and he's indoors.

I'm more used to dogs illnesses and  what a dog can have, I know cats are very different and you cannot treat them same as a dog

Why are  the kittens all huddled together on the porch? I noticed this past 3 days, my thought is they are scared of something, we do have coyotes etc where I live,. Its 40 degrees here, they usually go under the porch,  I have a shelter box on the porch also,   I don't think they are that cold, they are very warm when I pick them up.

Plain meat baby food might interest this little one.  You can also boil a piece of chicken with no seasonings.  Shred it , add some of the broth water to it and see if he'll eat that.  He might be best served by taking him to the vet.  He's probably got some kind of infection.  Be sure to keep him separated from your resident kitty.

The kitties are probably huddling together because they are cold.  You can place a box and some old towels or blankets out for them.

How is the kitten doing these days? When a kitten stops eating or loses its appetite a visit to the vet is in order. Kittens have voracious appetites so when they don't eat it usually means something is wrong and needs to be treated.

Thanks for your reply,
I did boil some chicken breast, shredded it up & added a sprinkle of sugar & salt in the broth, the kitten came around, seemed much  better.

I think the kitten ate some of a mouse of a voil, I've seen the bits of these creatures insides on the porch along with one with its head off,.  ugh.....I guess the kittens have introduced themselves to the mice etc. I think this is what happened, I guess in time their bodies must get accustomed to eating or playing with these things.

Thanks for reply, the kitten came around after I gave the chicken and broth.  There are about 6 ferals here, I need to contact paws about getting them spayed/neutered
