Target is having deals on supplies for the holidays but you need to use the cartwheel app to get them. These deals are not advertised in the stores.

Among the deals offered:

30% off holiday string lights

40% off Pepperidge Farm Stuffing bags

40% off all 2 liter sodas

40% off Hefty EZ foil turkey roasting pans

30% off baby and toddler apparel and outerwear (2 days left)

30% off kids apparel, outerwear and sleepwear (2 days left)

40% off McCormick red cap extracts, spices and color

Plus more. I love the Target cartwheel app. It's free, easy to use and they offer % off a lot of stuff.

I do not work for Target. I love saving $$$. The money I save on stuff I need is money I can spend on stuff I WANT!!

I have never heard of the Cartwheel app.

Do I download it from the Apple App store or from the Target website?

Is it safe?

I ask a lot of questions, so please bear with me.....also a long day.

Up very early for a doctors appointment in Boston. Left really early because of traffic. Got up much earlier to make sure I gave Artie all his meds before I left. I am tired crashing now...

You can get the cartwheel app from Apple's app store. That's what I did. it's also available for Android phones.

Yes- it is safe. I have been using it for a while now. It's also simple to use. The deals that are available now are visible as soon as you open the app on your phone. All you do is tap the one you want and then tap add at the lower right. Add as many as you want. When you get to the register, go back to the app, then to the top left where you'll see 3 red lines. Tap that and when that opens, tap my barcode. A screen will come up with a barcode that the cashier will scan and that will take all the discounts off. The cashier will know what you're doing as soon as you show him/her your phone. They know the drill.

They have other deals as well. I go through the store and as I need something, I check to see if a discount is available. You might be surprised about how many things are on there. You can pair the deals with in store as well as manufacturer coupons, too. There is a 4 item limit on most stuff though. People took advantage. They have to complete with Wal Mart somehow though and this is it. They should advertise it more than they do.

@Kat0121 Here is a site you may be interested in.  My friend's sister started it and now they both work on it. ( I hope this is allowed)

Totallytarget.com

Neither work for target.  They make money off the ads.

I needed to comment that because of this thread I finally downloaded the Cartwheel app and used it for the first time yesterday. :)

I was frustrated though because it wouldn't let me scan barcodes of items in the store so I had to search through everything.

AbbysMom - I sometimes have trouble maintaining the internet connection with Cartwheel - and I'm in the darn store!!!

But I love the scan feature.  Much easier than searching for every item.  You might want to talk to someone at the service desk - if there's something about their internet connection, they should know about it.  Or, they might have some tips for using it   I didn't even know about the scan feature until a Target associate saw me with my phone and asked if she could show me this shortcut.  I love her!

It won't even work at my home on wifi. I think there is something wrong with it on my phone. :(

Try the TotallyTarget.com website.  They may have some tips or you can ask questions.  Kerry and Kelley are always listing the Cartwheel deals and how to 'stack' with other deals and save even more.

Thank you. :) What's strange is that all of the other Apps that scan (Amazon, Kohls, etc.) have asked for access to the camera on my phone and this hasn't. There was an update this morning and I had hoped it would be fixed, but no such luck.
