My cat is on treatment for tic fever and it was discovered she has leukemia. I've brought her home from the vet under instructions not to let her outside. She’s not eating at all and syringe feeding isn't working, please help.

Welcome to TCS.

I am very sorry to hear your kitty is so ill.  She will probably feel better if she will start eating.

Have you any canned tuna, or can you run out for some?  She would likely be tempted by that, or at least by the fluid in which it is packed.  You could try syringe-feeding her the tuna fluid from canned tuna, with a dosing/feeding (needle-less) syringe.

You might also ask her Veterinarian whether an appetite stimulant or a feeding tube would be appropriate for her case.

I'm not a lot of help with complete refusal of food. If it's possible she's nauseas an anti nausea tablet might help. I know you can get vitagel at the petstore that both provides nutrients for them and is also high calorie and an appetite stimulant. Might be worth a try (not sure on overseas brands, ours is called Nutripet or Nurtigel).

Agreed with the smelliest fishy foods available. Not good long term but they're often good to entice a kitty to eat. Did she have any favourites before she got sick? Sardines in spring water or tuna are often popular.

Do take her back to the vet though if she doesn't start to eat. Kitty's can get quite sick from a lack of food.
