Rick wants one for his drive to and from work and for walking videos. I don't mind getting him one, IF he uses it.

The GoPro Hero 4 Silver, to be specific.

Do you know anything about this? Best place to buy? Hints, advice? Worth it?

Thanks!

Mr Husband has got the GoPro Hero 4 Session, which I think is the smallest/cheapest one. I've used it a few times while I've been out horse riding or walking around the garden with the cats and I was really pleased with the quality of the pictures. The sound is good too. Mr Husband has strapped it to the front of his kayak and taken it out climbing and hiking, it's stood up to all kinds of rough use. It came with a bag of different gadgets so you can attach it to a helmet, wear it on a harness or attach it to other things.

The only problem with the one we have is that you can't see what you're filming unless you connect it to your phone or PC. I think the silver has a screen on it as well as a camera, so you can see what you're filming.

I just wish it was small enough and light enough for one of the cats to wear.

Thank you, Norachan. That helps me.

Oh gosh, could you see what that would be like from a cat's point of view?

I did check Amazon, but here's the thing. I didn't want to put it on a charge because Rick would see it when it came in on the card statement....and I'm worried that it would have come in before Christmas. I got one this morning at Target and was able to use my card to get a 5% discount....every time you fill five prescriptions you get a card that can be used for 5% off your purchases for one day. I used it today and just paid cash.

Talked to my son. I bought the camera and they will him some extras: another battery, the mount, extra SIM card, etc. They always have a hard time buying something for Rick, so he was relieved! (Man, those cameras are little!)

As far as I'm concerned, Rick is done, other than some stocking things. I was also able to get his Taz ornament while I was out. Those were the only two things I bought, other than groceries.
