I've seen the pics on Pinterest for a few years now about cleaning microfiber furniture with rubbing alcohol. I was very skeptical and was concerned it would ruin the furniture. My couch got to the point though where I had to do something. It was just getting gross. I did a small patch on the side of the cushion and it seemed to work. I then did a larger patch on the top of the cushion -

Please don't think less of me for airing my dirty laundry, err couch -

Obviously the patch I did is on the left. I did the rest of the couch yesterday and while some sections need going over again, there is a huge improvement.

Here's a link on how to do it -

That's great, I will have to try it. My couch is awful, this is the arm of it and basically the whole couch and chair are like this.
It takes a little elbow grease, but it is worth it. I need to go back over a few areas on mine, but even without doing it, it is loads better. The hardest thing was finding a non-colored sponge! I ended up finding some "natural" tan ones at Target.

I think you can get them on Amazon, but I didn't have the time to wait for them to be delivered.

Huh, I tried that once on my couch and just made it worse! I was just trying to get a particular stain out, so maybe it reacted badly to the rubbing alcohol. Yours is looking great!

That's interesting. What color is it?
