Ive found this baby kitten in garbage heap
He was few days old
I took him in tuck him in warm cloths
Gave him warm milk
After some days he became active
But then he got constipated
I gave his butt a warm masasage he poop out
But now he ias so lazy
He don't meow
He can't walk
He is just like dieing
I tried to stimulate his belly and butt but he crossed his legs and arm and stopped breathing and got solid hard i thought he died
I put him in blanket n warm him with dryer he ia breathing but he ia lifeless
I need help

What are you feeding him? You should be feeding him KMR by PetAg. Kittens can't have cows milk as they can't digest it. He needs fed with a syringe or kitten bottle (if he'll suck) every 2-3 hours. You'll need to stimulate him to go to the bathroom after every meal. 

If you are giving him cow's milk that can cause problems for young kittens.  Goat's milk is good.  Do you have access to a pet store with KMR or kitten milk replacer ?  Can you rush this kitten to a vet?

Baby powder milk like human baby formula? Kittens cannot drink that.

You need to get the kitten to a vet immediately, or if there is an animal rescue near you that will take it in. They're better equipped to deal with that. It sounds like he may be dying. Kittens don't usually move around a ton when they're super tiny, but he shouldn't be cold. 

Is he breathing at all? If so, keep him warm and see if there's a licensed animal rescue near you. If you want to keep him, you NEED to get him special kitten milk. It comes in powder and premixed. You'll need to warm it slightly before you feed it. 

There r no vet or animal rescue in my town.. Its a small town

Are you stimulating your kitten to go to the bathroom before and after he eats every time?

What are you feeding him? How much? How often?

Hi Fatima,

Can you tell us where you are located? It will be easier to help you get the resources you need if we know that. Have you taken this kitten to the vet? Are you feeding him baby milk for humans or baby milk for cats? Baby milk for humans will cause constipation and could be deadly. A vet really needs to see this baby right away.

There may be resources nearby that you don't know of. Are you by chance in the Philippines?

I've been feeding him 4 times a day
But he was good in peeing
He peeid every time after feeding
Buy he didn't poop
I stimulate hisa butt whixh makes him poop
But niw he is Lifeless
He can't move

Do you have access to goat's milk, it is much lower in lactose then cow's milk.  Right now I would try to rub some kind of sugary liquid on his gums.  Small kittens can get low blood sugar very easily.  Any liquid with a lot of sugar or syrup in it, water with sugar dissolved in it, corn syrup even pancake syrup.

I see. Which part of Pakistan are you in, if you don't mind us asking? I may be able to help you connect with a local resource that can give you more regionally-appropriate advice. I know rescue groups in the Philippines have a lot of advice based on resources available in the Philippines, I'm sure it's no different in Pakistan.

In the meantime: If you can get some goat milk and feed that to your kitten instead of baby milk made for humans, MUCH better option. To get some extra protein in him you can also mix in a little egg, that should help loosen the stools. Normally when a cat or kitten is constipated you mix some cooked pumpkin  or squash in with their food, but he's not old enough for solid food so try with the goat milk and egg if you can. Egg is not needed every time, just periodically.

He should be getting fed every few hours. And it's very very important to keep him warm. If you have a hot water bladder (like this) you can put hot water in that with a towel around it ( so it doesn't burn him) and keep him in a small box or cage with towels around for warmth.

If you don't have a hot water bladder, you can use a plain glass or plastic bottle of any type. Again just be sure to wrap the bottle in a towel so it produces warmth but won't burn the baby.

As you discovered, you need to also stimulate his bowels to help him poop. There are videos on YouTube illustrating how to do this so you can be sure not to accidentally hurt him.


THANK YOU SO MUCH for trying to help this baby. You should be aware, and prepare yourself for the possibility, that the kitten may be sick with something you can't help. This often happens with orphaned strays and ferals. Their mothers may be sick and have passed something in gestation. Or they may have caught something from exposure.

It's still really important to get the kitten to a vet if you can, or at least find out if a vet somewhere near to you can send deworming medication, as he likely needs that.

You can fill a non-needle syringe with 1 part warm water, 1 part sugar. Try giving him a little bit of that. He sounds severely dehydrated.

It sounds like your kitten is dying, in which case there is nothing to do but offer comfort since you say you have no vets or rescues in your town.
