Hi all!
I'm new here, and certain this question had been asked before.
I had to say goodbye to my sweet kitty about two months ago. We adopted him as a kitten and found out that he has feline leukemia, and he unfortunately got really sick around his second birthday and had to be put to sleep
I am really missing having a cat around, and wondering when it will be "safe" to adopt another. I threw away his bowls and litterbox. I haven't thrown away his cat tree and I'm wondering if I should? I've cleaned all my floors and counters with bleach.
Just wondering about things I can't clean with bleach like chairs, couches etc. I know I'm probably being over paranoid here but having a kitty contract felv because of my wrongdoings would be heart breaking.
Also, I was thinking about adopting a kitten and just read that a kitten can show up as negative on a snap test and then positive on a retest later. Now I'm scared to adopt a kitten from the shelter at all even if they've tested negative
