Hello! Hope i will still be able to ask questions here for many more months/years

Hi, i joined the forum 2 days ago as i needed some advice about a stray. Just saw there's a new cats on the block thread, so i'm here to say hi.

Brought the stray i'm looking after to the vet, and hope she will hang around some more instead of running off as i took her to the vet and that caused pain! So i'm here to say hi, and hope i will be able to stay on some more

Welcome!  I'm fairly new myself, but I've had a wonderful time here.  Everyone is so friendly, and supportive.  It's a terrific community, and I hope you enjoy is as much as I am!

Thank you! The stray seems happy yesterday. So happy she's back to familiar surroundings and eating well!

~snickers quietly to self~  I think you might as well decide on a name now...You've taken her to the vet, and are feeding her.  She's hardly a stray any more.  She is now a Found Kitteh.

Hahaha! She's Furball! That's how the name love4furball came about   

But she's still a stray...can't come into the house because someone at home is allergic to cats 

Being an outdoor cat does not make her a stray... I mean if you just aren't ready to make a permanemt commitment, that's one issue, but where on your property she resides doesn't matter if its basement, garage, living room or under the rosebush.  I think the cat thinks that is her home. 

Oh, and welcome to the cat site!.  Its okay if you call her a stray, I have a cat I still refer to as the stray/feral, but she has been living in our back sparebedroom for months now, gave birth to a kitten who is now weaned back there and everything.  The cat knows, my daughter knows, and I know, she's staying.  One of us just isn't ready to admit it.

When I have just a minute to do more than the basics, I'll dig in my files and find my "Rules for Stray Cats" and get it posted somewhere on the forums.  It is hilarious.  Or as my Boston friend would say, hy-lar-ious.
