cat with swollen lower lip/gum

so our cat had swollen lip/lower gum for 2 to 3 weeks - also noticed that he was very itchy - despite fact that we do flea drops - frontline religiously! So researched on -line and as suspected discovered that fleas have become resistant to frontline spot on drops! So - ordered advantage drops - applied and within 3-4 days - lip/gum clearly improved and a week on - back to normal! Absolutely convinced that swollen lip due to flea allergy and maybe exacerbated by excessive grooming! Hope this is helpfull
