I  need to find a loving home for one of my cats named Romeo.  He is a male approx. 5 years old and he is beautiful.  His color is gorgeous, like Russian Blue. The best part about him is that he is the most loving animal I have ever seen.  All he wants is to get in your lap, have you pet him and love him and he will follow your every move.

The reason that I must find a home for him is that I took him in from a friend who had been feeding him as a stray, (she couldn't take him in because she had 3 dogs, one of witch was a very large bull dog type).  I had 3 cats at the time and had to put 2 of them down due to their declining ability to walk and get around.  One was 24 years old and the other was 23 (her offspring).  I acquired a third cat from the Burbank Shelter when I was looking for a 3rd cat that I had (another of my first cat's offspring) and was lost.  Shortly after I took Romeo in we moved to Santa Clarita, Calif. into a new house. That day one of the movers accidentally let him out and he ran.  (He has always had a fear of most men, I don't know why unless he was mistreated by a man. But not every one. There are a couple that I know that he takes to just fine cause he senses they pose no threat.)

He was lost in the mountainous hills in the area for eight months and i was devastated not knowing what had happened to him, especially with the coyotes that roam these hills.  Anyway, a neighbor had seen a grey cat on a nearby fence and I went to the house where the fence was and, sure enough, it was Romeo.  A much thinner and younger looking version of him, but the chip matched.

To get back to the reason I need to find a home for him is that he continually intimidates my female, Lulu, who is my baby that I got from the shelter and I have had her longer than Romeo, and my heart is wrapped around her.  They hiss and fight constantly because he wants to reign supreme, and she should not have to be hiding like this and cowering from his constant staring at her and confronting her.  Fortunately he hasn't hurt her, but I can't continue to get the scratches, and bites I have had to undergo keeping them separated.

Can you help me somehow??.....do you know of anyplace where they have a direct adoption or something.  I won't take him to a kill shelter, as most people at the shelters want kittens and I am afraid that he would be put down.  This is just killing me,  I love him so much, but I can't keep him in this circumstance.  Please help me.

When Romeo came back, did you redo introductions between the cats?  Introductions between cats can take weeks to many weeks to months to many months to even a year.  If you just allowed Romeo back into the house without doing introductions then I can imagine there is lots of turmoil.  Before trying to rehome, is there a chance you can redo introductions?  Romeo would need a room of his own.  There should be no sight contact between the cats at all.  The process should be taken very very slowly.  I will post some articles and a video for you to read.
