I actually feed my girls both fancy feast, the classics (pate) are grain free.

I have tried the more pricey grain free foods and they will have nothing to do with them, so ff it is for my two picky kitties :)
I stick with the pate and avoid the gravy flavored ones. I have bought every expensive grain free you name it an this is what they will consistently eat.  I sit the cans in a pan of warm water for a few minutes to soften and warm the food and it also all comes out of the can that way.

Exactly the same as mine :)

Oh, I love that you warm their food a bit too, how sweet.

I know that the food is hard to get out of the can when trying to plop the entire chunk at once, I've learned to shake it sideways before popping it open, once I hear it moving inside I know it will come out easy.

In the winter you can toss the can on a floor vent for a few minutes.

And yes the cat food can shake.

If they like Tuna, try something shredded. Wuerva and Cats in the Kitchen both make shredded canned food. Cats shouldn't have much tuna due to the high mercury levels. Plus, plain tuna is not a complete food, it is missing vital nutrients. Are you feeding dry food as well, or just tuna?

Have you tried Tiki Cat brand canned food? My cats go crazy over the Tiki tuna and crab flavor and the Tiki sardines.

You should also be feeding dry. Make sure your kitty doesn't get dehydrated though - keep fresh water available.

I have to respectfully disagree. Dry cat food is unnecessary.
With all due respect ,  person stated that cat will not eat any wet food at all and will only eat canned tuna meant for human consumption . In this case dry food is necessary because canned tuna is not a healthy and balanced diet for a cat ..

True! I misunderstood and thought that the PP was saying that a diet of canned cat food only was bad for a cat.

If the only wet food that your cat will ever eat is tuna intended for human consumption, then dry food  is definitely necessary until and unless you figure out how to get them to eat actual canned cat food.

Sorry for the confusion!

I know it is not healthy. I do feed Blue Buffalo dry with Salmon oil on it.  She loves that.   But canned food??   She smells it and walks away.  Surely someone has found a food that I might try.  I cannot be the only one that has had this issue.    Thank you all for responding.

It can be difficult to find Tiki Cat in a retail store - PetCo and PetSmart don't have it.   You'll have to go to an indy/specialty pet care store.

You can use the Store Locator from Tiki's website to find a store near you that carries it:

http://www.petropics.com/store-locator/

Or you could order it online (chewy.com is a good one) - I can get regular Tiki Cat at an indy pet store in my city, but no one local to me carries the Tiki Cat Gourmet Carnivore, so if I want that, I have to order it online.  It's a good food though (get the chicken/poultry flavors for meals - only use the fish ones as treats, not regular meals)
