Good morning! :sun:

The question of today is :

45. What jobs had throughout your life? Did you have any memorable experience in any of them?

Have a nice middle of the week! :wavey:

Dishwasher, cook, fast food (Tim Hortons and subway), retail (both management and cashier). I got a job I really wanted (medical office assistant in a specialists office) in 2012 but found out I was pregnant and couldn't take the job. It was supposed to be covering a 1 year maternity leave so obviously couldn't do that while pregnant and going off work to take care of my own baby.

  • Kitchen slave at our local hospital when I was a teen, basically doing the dishes (I really hate washing dishes)
  • Worked at a local stereo manufacturing plant as an assembler (It was repetitive and boring, boring, boring)
  • Worked at a local paper plant as a machine winder (a 7-day, swing shift and I hated every minute, but corporate paid for my college degree)
  • Community Planner right now (Very interesting job and I'm certainly not bored)

  • thrift store  - I didn't survive the first few days. I was taught how to do everything the day after I was hired as a trainee and was put on the spot as a cashier and I couldn't handle it so i was let go.
current job: home health aid / caregiver. eight years. ( NOT a maid  which most people don't seem to understand )

I hate my job and I don't wanna do it anymore.

When I was a teenager, I babysat a lot. And my brother and I split a couple newspaper routes, 1 daily and 1 weekly. My first "real" job was at a cell phone customer service call center. Ugh! I hope I never have to work at a call center again. Then I got hired by the USPS and still work for them. I've worked at 3 different post offices since I was hired. I hope to be a lifer, because I really hate interviewing for jobs! :lol3: But I'll hit 30 years service when I'm only 52 so maybe at that time I'll take my retirement and find a nice part-time job I really enjoy and not have to worry about how much it pays.
