Hello all
Ha's anyone else had the experience whereby their car won't eat canned food. Only pouches.
I am taking my kitten from Feli kitten food to felx adult food. She won't touch the adult food and I'm wondering if it because it is from a can/tin rather then a pouch.

Any thoughts?

It is possible that the canned food is different in taste, but it could be that the kitten food and the adult food are different.  I would suggest mixing what she is used to with some of the new food and making the change gradually.  Another good trick to use when changing a cat from one wet food to another is to add a little incentive.  Most cats like treats, because treats are coated with flavor to make them taste good.  If you take some treats, put them in a plastic baggie and then pound them with a hammer, you can sprinkle the resulting crumbles on top of the food, thus drawing your kitten to it.   I recently used this technique on an adult cat who had eaten nothing but dry food all her life and needed a wet food diet due to urinary problems.  It took a little time but it worked.
