Hi, everyone! My name is Melissa and my kitties are Echo and Angel, both four month old males. I've been reading these forums a lot since taking Echo in when he was only three weeks old. My friend found him wandering the streets at a local college campus and I ended up with a lot more than I expected when I agreed to adopt him. I've had kittens before, but not without a mother cat. I knew all about bottle feeding and everything else orphaned kittens need, but Echo was a very sickly little guy, infested with fleas and multiple intestinal parasites that wreaked havoc on his digestive system which continues to give him trouble to this day. He's been a trooper through it all, though.
And then there's Angel, who I adopted from the city shelter to cure Echo's horrible case of single kitten syndrome. He's healthy, but quite a troublemaker. Curious as a cat ever was, he'll get into anything and everything. But he's such a sweetheart that I always forgive him after cuddle-punishment.
As for myself, I have always loved cats, and more than once have been called a crazy cat lady. I take it as a compliment and accept my future fate happily. ;D I'm 32 years old and don't have much money, but my cats will always come first, even if I have to live off ramen and spaghettios, lol. Someday, I'm sure I'll become fabulously wealthy and will still spend it all on my cats.
