Goats milk is useful instead of kmr. Raw goat milk is best – fresh or frozen,  but bottled /cartooned or  powdered full fat is OK too.

Observe, if an orphan is much bloated, gas-filled, bloated, have colic, simethicone (google on it) may help.  1-2 drop in the bottle.

Fleece or flannel good to use in the bedding for kittens.

She keeps going to sit like this, could this be a sign. Sorry im kinda grasping at straws at this stage. It kinda looks like she needs to use the litter tray but even she would do it on her bed so thats not the reason.

She also lays down with her tail out and up a little at the base.

I'm not sure where you are located but if you financially cannot get help for her I know there are certain RSPCA centres who have vets you can visit and if you have a health care card you get heavily discounted vet care. They would rather help a cat than let it pass away because you cannot afford the care she needs. To me, if she's been in labour for 3 days, that is a long time and I would think she probably needs some care.

There are also discount days during the month of May I think it is and RSPCA shelters who offer discounted desexing ($40 for females). If you google it the centres who do it should show up or your local one will be able to give you information.

Thank you for your reply, I live in Tasmania, Australia . I spent some time working with our RSPCA and I know they close at 5 and everyone leaves. I don't think they have an after hours option.

Can you at least call your vet and see what they think? I think you're right to be concerned.

The temperature and dropped belly I wouldn't worry about. The temperature is only useful if you messured her temperature for the past 2 weeks so you know her usual temperature. Some cats, just like humans, are just "cooler" than others. This might me pretty normal for her, despite that it's lower than the average.

The dropped belly I wouldn't be too sure about. Is it really dropped, or did the kittens just move so it seems lower? You can usually indicate a dropped belly by feeling the back. It should have like some sort of "hole" in it. The belly should literally be a bag hanging on her spine. Kittens more all the time, the shape can change and it might look like a dropped belly but it really isn't.

The mucus plug is usually not found and can be lost up to 2 weeks before giving birth.

The squatting however does seem like she has started. So if you go with that picture, she started today on her labor. You should keep an eye on any contractions. The first thing is hard bellies, you can feel if she has these by touching her belly when she's lying down. It'll go rock hard to soft to rock hard again. These are pre-contractions. These can take a long time too; one of my girls had them for 2 weeks (I noticed them because her paw twitched - bit early, but she delivered her babies just fine).

The actual push contractions you don't need to feel. You will notice them if she has them. She will also start losing her water, if you find that, and she has contractions, the first one should be due in around an hour (if it's her first litter, it might take a little longer; but because she's so small I wouldn't wait for it. If a large male is the father she might be too small herself to have them naturally). If none came within that hour, go to the vet instantly. The same goes for all kittens. When the contractions start again, the kitten should come in around an hour. It's usual for cats to have breaks in-between kittens, so it's easier to see each delivery as a seperate birthing process.

Please keep us posted, I will hope on a succesful delivery! Also, try not to be too worried, because she will notice and stress herself. When you are stressed, she's stressed, and when she's stressed, it might weaken her contractions.

Thank you for you help.  Her original body temperature was 38.6 but has been 37.4 since Sunday.  She is going to the vet either today or tomorrow. Is is the next morning and still nothing.

There was a little gap when her belly went down looking like weight had been shifted from under the spine to a hanging position. I may have misjudged because of her stumped appearance thought so I am hoping the vet can clarify.

Yes, I think its time for the vet, at least, a good consultation.  Cats and kittens as a rule manage too long pregnancies better than humans.  Its too short pregnanices which are highly dangerous for kittens - unlike humans.

But this here "verry near" condition is just going on and going on... me too is worrying. Earlier TalkingPeanut voiced this worry.

Oh my, can you at least call a vet to see what they say before Saturday? Two days is a long time to wait right now.
