I just recently got my two 4 month old kittens neutered. Now that they are home and healed one of them will no longer poop in the litter box. I need help don't know what to do?

This is a male, correct? Are there any changes in his poop at all. Is he straining, etc? Or is the only change in WHERE he's doing it? How long has it been since the surgery?
