I have a seven month old kitten who I've had since she was 3month and 2weeks. She has recently begun becoming a greedy guts, she doesnt beg for food but I feed her 3 times a day the same food that one month ago she wasnt really interested in eating. She used to have left overs but nows she is eating her wet food in the morning. 1/4 cup of dry in the afternoon and 1/4 dry in the evening (all kitten food). I feel like she could eat more too and question whether shes going hungry. On the contrey my partner thinks shes getting chubby and I feed her too much. Advice please.
How much should I be feeding my 7month old? She eats Royal Canin range.

She should be eating as much as she wants.  Read the food containers.  Kittens get twice as much as adult cats, and need even more during growth spurts.

Thank you for your response. Currently I'm feeding her to the guidelines given on her food packaging. So if shes still hungry I should feed her more? my only concern is that she in an indoor girl(cats cant be outdoor in the city) we live in an apartment and although she still pretty active, has plenty of toys and gets into everything does my little home affect her feeding too that she is abit more restricted in exercise.
On a side note: Because of this we do travel she is getting quite good on the lead, in the car, and when i take her up to my mums in the country she loves to go crazy in a big house that has plenty of stairs and nooks, shes become very travel friendly.

My boy Atticus is the same as as your cat, and at his last vet visit my vet expressed concern about his weight.  I replied with the standard, "Kittens get as much as they want," and she immediately poo-pooed that statement.  After getting neutered Atticus's energy level plummeted so at our vet's advice we've adjusted his food accordingly.  One half of a 5.5 ounce can of Wellness Core in the morning and the other half at night and that's it. We've also taken to playing with him every night for a good twenty minutes so he can get his Kitty sweat on.

Has your cat been spayed yet? No chance she's pregnant?

Sometimes cats left alone all day will eat out of boredom. However, she may be experiencing a growth spurt.

Hi Sarthur2 yes she has been. I found her at a shelter in melbourne and they desex all the animals before you can take them home.
Apartment life maybe somewhat boring for her. We had a busy day of playing yesterday because I was home, I gave her a little extra food and she actually didnt eat it all which wasa good sign that maybe im giving her just enough. Shes 7months now whrn do I start transitioning her to adult food?

It's supposed to happen around the one-year mark. However, the metabolism seems to slow down somewhat after spaying and neutering, so it's really up to you if you feel she's getting adequate nutrition.
