Something I noticed just yesterday when I was petting Widget, and confirmed more today, is that on her left "shoulder" so to speak, so about the top of her left front leg, she has a number of really small bumps.  I haven't seen any signs that they are irritating her too much, no signs of scratching or biting at the area or such.  She is 6 years old and her coat is black, and it's been hard for me to get a better look although I tried a bit earlier. The bumps are really small and don't protrude much from the skin.

Now at one time I remember feeling bumps on the chin, but I don't remember whether it was this cat or the other one. That would have been probably acne, but both cats are clear on the chin right now, and this seems to far away from the face to be acne.  (I don't know how they would get acne anyway since usually that's a bowl issue and we use all ceramic and stainless bowls that get put into dishwasher after every single use.)

Any thoughts on what else I should be looking for? I've done some searching on this and not found anything useful so far so I figured I would try here and see if anyone else had run across something like this.  Thanks.

Got a better look last night finally, these seem to be white at present or otherwise light/skin colored. Don't seem to be scabs. Very small and several of them grouped in same small area of body, around what you might call her shoulder blade.  By very small I mean, well, there might be a dozen tiny bumps in an area of about a square inch or so on her body.  They're no more than maybe 1/16 of an inch or I guess 2mm. It's about like reading Braille dots perhaps, although I can't really remember the typical size of those either.  They are nowhere else on her body that I can find.  She still does not seem to be irritated by them (although she might prefer I wasn't spending ages prodding around trying to get a visual on the things, heh, but I did manage to see eventually).  I watched her go through a normal grooming session and she did not pay any special attention to that area.

Still nothing conclusive in searching.  She hasn't had any vaccines in over 2 years if anyone was wondering, so it shouldn't be associated with that at all, plus I don't think it is at a vaccine site anyway given the location.

So far this doesn't seem alarming but still hoping for a bit more info if someone runs across anything.

It sounds like a rash, maybe due to an allergy.  Has anything in her diet changed?  Anything else environmental like laundry detergent?  It could also be bug-related, especially if she goes outside.

It's perplexing, for certain.  Since it doesn't seem to bother her, no scratching, etc., I'm not convinced it's a rash, don't think it would be a food allergy, honestly, because those usually result in itching.  I've never heard of a vacicine sarcoma acting this way, and you're right, it's not in the right spot anyway.

I guess you could probably CALL your Vet and just describe it and see if they think you should take her in.  Otherwise,  is she due for her annual exam anytime soon?  If it's not bothering her at all, maybe she could wait until then?

Nothing has changed in food that I'm aware of (same foods, and while they can sometimes change formulations we have been in the same lots most likely for a couple months as I had bought significant supplies of the foods they eat).  Since it doesn't appear to itch I didn't think it was an allergic reaction at all.  And they don't go outside, which doesn't make fleas or such impossible but does make it less likely and it doesn't seem to look like that.  It does seem like it could be a rash of sorts since it is a grouping of these tiny bumps but it doesn't appear to me to be like any of the rashes I saw described.

Appreciate the thoughts though, since despite a fair bit of searching so far it doesn't seem to match up with the various skin things I've read about thus far.  I'd take a picture and post it but it's hard enough with two hands just to get it to where I can see!  I dunno if it would come out on my phone camera or not.  Maybe I'll try that later.  I do need to look again because it's possible something has changed in appearance, but so far the feel has been the same today vs yesterday and day before from what I can tell.

It probably wouldn't hurt her to have an exam soon (although she might beg to differ as would most cats, LOL).  It's been about a year since she's been, maybe a couple months more than that even.  She's not due for a vaccine quite yet because of 3-year shots they got at the shelter (giving me more time to figure that out anyway, although I suppose they'll need rabies shot) and they are 6 years old and not having any other health issues so that makes me a bit lax on the timing of a well cat checkup.  But maybe this is as good a reason as any to make an appointment, not urgently but just when convenient in the next week or two unless it starts looking worse.
