Hello I have a new little kitten who's just about 6 months old and I am being driven mad to find a cleaner I can use in the bathroom to clean the toilet and bath etc. I try not let her in there but sometimes she does just sneak in. I've now bought Bob Martin pet safe disinfectant, however is there any other product that is safe to use?

I hope others will share you ideas what products they are using.

As for me, I tried disinfectant cleaner but it's not going away the stubborn dirt. Now I am using vim cream, it's very effective, very clean and shiny (bathtub, shower, sink  and toilet bowl) BUT you have to rinse it very well for the safety of your cats and the floor I am using Mr clean products but I rinse  well after too....just to be safe for my girl.

Cleaning is a tough job

Try Googling Seventh Generation Disinfecting Multi-Surface Cleaner.  It is organic, non-toxic and can even be used on food prep surfaces.

I use Baking Soda as a scrubbing powder and I also use vinegar as a mild disinfectant but when I need to really be sure, I use bleach. I just lock the cats in another room until I'm done and everything is fully dry.

I used that once to clean the bathroom floor. My Aby licked the floor afterwards (he's too curious for his own good
) and ingested some cleaner residue. He wound up with a very upset tummy the next day. I had to take him to the vet ER for treatment. I now only use baking soda and vinegar to clean the bathroom floor.

For the sink and tub I do use a brand name household cleaner but I make sure to thoroughly rinse with lots of water afterwards. I use one of those toilet wand with disposable scrubby soap brush things to scrub the toilet bowl. I always keep the lid down to keep the cats from taking a dip.

Can you keep the bathroom door closed for a few hours after cleaning so everything can dry? If the litter box is in there, temporarily move it out.
